My space began as a table crammed into a bay window in my master bedroom.Then one afternoon, I was looking at my girls' unused playroom and the light bulb went off. Why should I be crammed and have limited work and storage space when there is a perfectly good space that isn't really being used for anything but toy storage. So we went through all the toys and moved what was left into bedrooms and I started moving my stuff in! WOW! What a difference! It's so nice to be able to move! And if I want to work late at night my husband doesn't have to sleep on the couch! I kept the small table and chairs in the space so the girls' could "play beads with mommy".
