Featured Space #4 - Autumn Sky Adornments

Say "Hi" to Crystal from Autumn Sky Adornments. Crystal says...

What I do there? LOL...what DON'T I do there.... I have a worktable, and that is usually where I am, beadweaving, sketching, sorting my stash...again, gluing bits of things to bits of other things. When my hands are busy, that's where I am. Actual sewing takes place there also, but any cutting I do in the kitchen. Sometimes, I just sit there. In my space, waiting for inspiration to strike.

The sofa is usually in use by the cats...they like to keep me company while I work. (Either that, or they're supervising..hmmmm)I take the sketchbook over there sometimes, and I curl up to shred magazine pages and work on my journal/collage/vision book. It's a good spot for reading too, and having difficult conversations.

Featured space #2 - Cookies Creations

Welcome to featured space #2 - Rosemarie from Cookies Creations. Here's what Rosemarie had to say about her space. :)

I have fun creating in my tiny little work space. I learned how to create with polymer clay about 4 years ago. I learned on my own. I bought books, books and more books and watched craft shows. I started out making figurines. Then I made whatever I found interesting and was fun and colorful.I started out with a small folding table and gradually build my little creative work space in the corner of my room. It's by the window so it seems bigger and is cheery. I which I could have a room just for crafting, but this will do for now. It sure could get messy in such a short time. The two closets in my room are not used for my clothes, they are used to store my supplies. I have so many supplies I have to take a tour once in awhile to see what I have. I guess we are all like that, buying to make sure we have it, if and when we need it.I create items because it's fun and that makes it all worthwhile. And if someone likes it that makes it even better.

Welcome to "Real Space Wednesday"

I love looking at artist's work spaces. My favorite thing is storage. I love little drawers and cubbies and other things artists use to store their materials. I also like to see their actual workspace. As in, a paint splattered table or easel or a pile of beads or yarn. So, I have made this blog to dedicate it to Etsy artist's work spaces and shops. Each week (or more as time goes), I will be featuring an Etsy artist's workspace and shop. To start off, a little shameless self promotion.

My name is Renee. My shop is called renee's Paper & Yarn. I started off doing cards and some knitting items. I also added some jewelry and right now, I'm focusing on beaded items, although, I will be adding some paper items very soon. I tend to cycle my work as I have many interests and don't like to get bored.

I work at my desk, which also holds my computer. As you can see, I like things cluttered. I do all of my knitting and bead work, here. If I'm painting, I will sit at the kitchen table, which is actually right behind me. The cubby shelves on the left hold yarn and DVDs. My scanner sits on top.

This is a section of wire cubby shelves I use to hold yarn for current projects. I also keep knitting needles, stitch holders, pliers, and other jewelry making tools hanging on the edges where they're handy.

This is a section of a wall of storage units of drawers and paper slots that line the wall across from my desk. I store all of my stamping and painting supplies here. I'm in the middle of reorganizing, so, it is in quite a disarray.

This is to the left of the previous picture. The whole thing is 5 units wide plus these shelves. I love these units. I wish I had room for more.

So, that is my space. I also have a closet I need to go through and downsize, but, doesn't everyone? lol.
