Featured space #9 - panyi zsuzsi

Zsuzsi says...

Panyizsuzsi is a family business creating modern glass jewelries for trendy woman. The glass items are designed by Zsuzsi Panyi a Hungarian architect. We asked her about their studio space.

Our studio is located in our house and it is under constant reorganizing. The former study/office space opens from the living room. The metamorphose of the space takes time as our business develops. First we started to use the desk in the room for cutting glass and we temporary had our grinder there. We also store our smaller glass sheets there in an old disk holder that perfectly suits our needs. The smaller pieces are in a long wooden box, arranged by their tones and the really tiny ones are in a little cigar box. The glass cutter is stored in an orange, vintage little vase. The memory board is under construction, but the wall above the desk is decorated! There are some pictures, a retro vintage lamp front of it and a lovely clock from the eighties!

We have a wall to wall and almost floor to ceiling plain white bookshelf for the paperwork, books and ready to sell items. The back of the room is decorated with a child size mannequin that we use for our craft fairs. Marcel Breuer’s – nb. He was Hungarian - chair is just one of my uncountable on-line auction findings. The gorgeous vase was recently moved because of the little lady right next to it!

Now, that our kiln just arrived we do plan to separate glass and office work from each other. We will have a kind of glass bench, for cutting, grinding and the kiln to leave the desk for the tidy work!We will be happy to tell about it when it is ready.
